Trina Dow

Welcome! My name is Trina Dow. I am a multi ethnic art psychotherapist and licensed professional counselor who has been working with adults of all ages for many years to address general life concerns, coping with mental health issues, acute and chronic trauma, identity concerns and substance abuse. In addition to academic training as a creative arts therapist, I’ve had over thirty years of continuing professional training in client centered techniques, cognitive and dialectical behavior techniques, motivational and positive psychology, trauma and change theory, LGBTQIA issues and concerns to name a few. My goal as a therapist is to develop a collaborative relationship with my client. Together we work to identify your greatest areas of concern, to reduce stress and anxiety you may be experiencing and to help you build life-long techniques and strategies that will help you maintain a better sense of your health and well-being. Some areas where I have experience include: Trauma, Acute Disaster and Addiction Recovery Coping with Mental Illness Sexual Assault and Abuse Survivorship LGBTQIA concerns Relationship concerns Acknowledging that you want help with something you are struggling with is a big step.
