I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the state of Tennessee and obtained my education through the University of Tennessee. I have been in the mental health/social service field for 30 years in a variety of job roles: case management, research, crisis work and consulting. Five years ago, I retired and opened my own private practice. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused counseling in my private practice. I work with variety of issues ranging from anxiety to depression, occ, adhd and work with people that is on the specturm. I also teach problem solving skills and attempt empower my clients to think outside of the box. My primary counseling focus is working with families, individuals experiencing emotional stress and struggles as well as families with children having special needs or behavioral issues. I enjoy helping clients with life stressors and transitions. We will explore interventions that help you accomplish your goals which is the most important part of your recovery. Even though I am a faith-based therapist, I am opened minded and use a nonjudgmental approach with all clients. I am easily approachable and have wonderful listening skills. In your sessions we will focus on problem solving and finding solutions . I believe everyone should be treated with compassion and respect.
