Vielka Johnson

Vielka E. Johnson is a highly experienced therapist with a passion for helping individuals of all ages overcome obstacles and improve their lives. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado and a Master’s degree in counseling, Vielka has been licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners and is a professional counselor. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with a diverse population, specializing in children and adolescents aged 3 to 18. However, she also has extensive experience working with young adults and adults up to the age of 65+. Vielka has worked in various settings, including community agencies, schools, and residential facilities. Her expertise extends to working with therapeutic foster care children, family domestic violence, mental and physical abuse, the mobile crisis unit, and crisis intervention. She is trained in Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporates different modalities and approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. Vielka is deeply committed to helping clients identify their strengths and weaknesses, learn new skills, and achieve their goals.
