I like to listen to people and my goals are to develop strong rapport with the client, make the client feel safe and help guide the client to healthy decision making and functionality. I am a mental health counselor licensed in Florida as well as Colorado over 13 years of experience working in profit and non-profit, residential and out patient settings. I have served clients struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, ADHD, eating disorders, alcohol and drug use disorders, self-esteem, addictions, trauma, phobias, communication skills, assertiveness, and goal setting. My counseling style focuses on the importance of creating a safe environment to express yourself in a healthy way. To create this setting, it’s my priority to create a healthy client-therapist relationship free of any judgement. Several clients have also told me they enjoy my sense of humor, so if you value humor, we may be a great fit. :-) I really believe most of my clients already have the answers, and I’m here to help navigate them through whatever storm is hindering them from finding those answers. This is a huge step you’re about to take, and I commend you for having the courage to ask for help. It’s not easy seeking professional help, and whether you choose my services or not, I wish you success.
